Welcome to online registration for The Mullet Fall Classic!

Congratulations!  By registering online, you are getting a discounted entry fee.  This online registration helps streamline the process of registration, assign number plates for your bikes and assign an electronic chip which will be used to time you in the race.  Thank you for choosing to use this option.  Online registration closes at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 8th.

**Day of race registration will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Lake Ahquabi Beach Shelter (online discounted entry fee will not apply to those who register day of race).

THE RACE

This year, you have two racing options to choose between for The Mullet Fall Classic on October 9th, 2011 at Lake Ahquabi State Park.

First Option

Solo Marathon Junkies can delight in racing a 3 hour and 15 minute race as the endurance race option.  The race begins at 11:45 am and when the clock strikes 3 pm, all final laps that are underway will count and the racers with the most laps and best times combined win the cash awards.  There are 3 categories for the marathon:  solo men's open, solo women's open, and tandem bike (as in bicycles built for 2).

Second Option

This is the usual 2011 IMBCS cross country race categories of Expert (4 laps men/3 laps women), Comp (3 laps), Singlespeed (3 laps), Sport (2 laps), and Beginner (1 lap) to battle for the Mullet Classic Fall podium spots in their respective cross country race categories.

The cross country race is part of the Iowa Mountain Biking Championship Series (IMBCS) and is #10 in the series.  It doesn't matter if you have been participating in the other races of the series for the year or not - it is open to everyone who wants to race.  The course at Lake Ahquabi is a very friendly course and ideal for beginners and first timers, but also has enough to challenge everyone else as well.

Lap counts and divisions for the IMBCS #10 are as follows:

CAT I - Elite/Pro/Expert (4 laps)
Men Open
Men Masters 35+
Women Open (3 laps)

CAT II Comp & Singlespeed (3 laps)

CAT III - Beginners  (1 lap)

When registering, just make sure to pick the appropriate Category and Division as you register.
